NOTICE OF WEEKEND AND NIGHT WORK: FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH, 9 PM THRU MONDAY, MAY 1ST , 6 AM
THIS INFORMATION IS BEING PROVIDED IN ADDITION TO PREVIOUS NOTICES

  • GENERAL WORK AREA IS BETWEEN BEDESSEN AVENUE AND RANSOM STREET
  • WORK WILL INVOLVE CONCRETE REMOVAL AND RECONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA BETWEEN I-710 SOUTH BOUND AND NORTH BOUND ON AND OFF RAMPS I-710 ON AND OFF RAMPS WILL BE CLOSED
  • ONE TRAVEL LANE IN EACH DIRECTION WILL BE OPEN ON WASHINGTON BOULEVARD

INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ALONG WASHINGTON BOULEVARD

WEEK: APRIL 24TH THRU APRIL 28TH

  • WORK WILL CONTINUE ALONG WASHINGTON BOULEVARD.
  • HEAVIER ON-STREET WORK BETWEEN LEO AVENUE AND I-5 FREEWAY, WHERE CENTER MEDIANS ARE CONSTRUCTED.

WEEKEND AND NIGHT WORK: FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH, 9 PM THRU MONDAY, MAY 1ST , 6 AM

  • SEE NOTICE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.

WEEK: MAY 1ST THRU MAY 5TH

  • WORK WILL CONTINUE ALONG WASHINGTON BOULEVARD
  • HEAVIER ON-STREET WORK BETWEEN LEO AVENUE AND I-5, WHERE CENTER MEDIANS ARE CONSTRUCTED.
  • COLD-MILL (REMOVAL OF OLD AND TEMPORARY ASPHALT) ALONG WASHINGTON AT VARIOUS SEGMENTS BETWEEN I-710 AND I-5.
  • SPECIAL ASPHALT MEMBRANE INSTALLATION FOR IMPROVED STRUCTURAL AND FLEXIBLE BASE BEFORE FINAL RUBBERIZED ASPHALT CAP IS APPLIED. DEPENDING UPON PROGRESS, FINAL RUBBERIZED ASPHALT CAP MAY BE APPLIED AT VARIOUS SEGMENTS.

POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WORK: MAY 6TH AND MAY 7TH, 7 AM TO 7 PM

  • SUBJECT TO PROGRESS ON OTHER WORK ELEMENTS, WORK MAY CONTINUE ALONG WASHINGTON BOULEVARD. COLDMILL OF ASPHALT MAY BE PERFORMED AND FINAL RUBBERIZED ASPHALT CAP MAY BE APPLIED AT VARIOUS SEGMENTS.

WEEK: MAY 8TH THRU MAY 12TH

  • WORK WILL CONTINUE ALONG WASHINGTON BOULEVARD
  • CONTINUING FINISHING CENTER MEDIANS AND LANDSCAPING, AND SIDEWALKS, STRIPING, SIGNING, TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET LIGHT WORK, FINAL UTILITY MANHOLE ADJUSTMENTS, AND FINAL RUBBERIZED ASPHALT CAP.

POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WORK: MAY 13TH AND MAY 14TH, 7 AM TO 7 PM

  • FINAL STRIPING, LANDSCAPE, SIGNING, ELECTRICAL, AND PICKUP WORK WILL CONTINUE.

WEEK: MAY 15TH THRU MAY 19TH

  • FINAL STRIPING, LANDSCAPE, SIGNING, ELECTRICAL, AND PICKUP WORK WILL CONTINUE.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME LOW NOISE WORK SUCH AS STRIPING, ELECTRICAL, PAVING MAY BE DONE DURING WEEKENDS AND NIGHT TIMES TO MINIMIZE TRAFFIC IMPACTS TO THE PUBLIC.
  • GENERALLY, 2 LANES ARE OPEN IN EACH DIRECTION, WITH 1 LANE TEMPORARILY CLOSED WHEN NECESSARY FOR EQUIPMENT MOVES AND TO ASSURE PUBLIC SAFETY.
  • PLEASE NOTE, DURING GRINDING OF EXISTING ASPHALT AND APPLICATION OF NEW ASPHALT, TRAFFIC LANES WILL BE REDUCED TO SINGLE LANE EACH DIRECTION TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR THE LARGE EQUIPMENT AND TRUCKS, AND FOR CURING OF NEW ASPHALT.
  • LOCAL ACCESS TO BUSINESS AND PEDESTRIANS WILL REMAIN OPEN. TEMPORARY CLOSURES WILL BE NECESSARY WHEN WORK IS BEING DONE IN FRONT OF A DRIVEWAY.
  • EXPECT DELAYS. USE ALTERNATE ROUTES.
